For the sake of continuity here is a recap of the last year. Yeah, a corona year. So nothing very special happened.
After our stormy days in the cyclades we went with my son to Athens. Ok, it was windy. Again. Arriving there we went into total lockdown in Zea Marina until April 21. We used the time for repainting the hull and repairing the rest of the storm damages.

In April we got special permit to leave the country, so we visited our Danish friends in Mesolongi. Yes, it’s still Greece. We had to go there with an engine problem. Yes, the weather was rough in South Peloponnese. We almost dragged against some cliffs. That was when we decided to go for a forty kilo Rocna. Totally oversized. But very nice for sleeping well.

In May we crossed to Menorca via Sicily, Lipari and Sardinia. We weren’t allowed to enter, so this was a rather short stay.
Balearics in June to August was a great coming down from all the Corona shit. We met family and friends in Soller, took my parents to Cabrera and had my son visiting with his lovely girlfriend in Ibiza/ Formentera. What a wonderful time sitting in restaurants and bars again. Sometimes it feels good being social again without media.

In August it was time to move on to Marbella to get our best friend on board for a while and then to slowly get out of the Meds and visit some friends in Lagos.
From there we crossed to Tenerife where we spent some months doing maintenance, repairs and upgrades. Did I mention living on a boat is an expensive thing to do? Especially if you combine it with sailing. It’s bad to material. But it’s fun.

That’s about it in major steps. Now we in Las Palmas with new crew Emily on board just about to cross the Atlantic to Guadeloupe. All is fixed, all is stocked, the weather is good. So no real excuse to procrastinate. See you on the other side
Have a safe trip and enjoy the Caribbean 😊
Thanks a lot. Wish you to find a safe trip to enjoy soon.
Hey Jenny, what a weird reply from me earlier. I thought you were a someone coming to our boat yesterday.
All sounds very exciting and fingers crossed the weather, winds and currents all go according to plan
Safe journey 👍🤞
Thank you very much, John. The forecasts predict fair winds. We promise to take good care of your girl.
Sorry Jonathan, I thought you were Emiliys grandpa John. Pleased to meet you. Be assured we don’t take the responsibility lightly and will take good care of your daughter.
Thanks guys!! Off we go 😝⛵️
Well here’s hoping you have a great crossing. Very fond memories of you, Paul from Messolonghi
