Kea was home to the water nymphs. They were so pretty, that the gods got jealous. So they sent a lion to destroy the island. An unknown artist picked up on this and carved the lion of Ioulis some two and a half thousand years ago. It really is a marvellous piece of art worth visiting as the path to it leads through the pitoresk main road of Ioulis.
Super- Jungs!
