Arriving in Mykonos we had the privilege of not knowing that it was forbidden to anchor in the old port. So we dropped it and stayed. And stayed. And stayed. We really fell in love with being on the island as the only foreign tourists. It was beautiful seeing the all so overcrowded maze of old town absolutely deserted.
Luckily we found a restaurant (Kazarma) directly at the harbour. With excellent food and lovely people running the show. And we met our danish friends again who threw anchor at the same spot. Had a series of very entertaining extended lunches full of hilarious laughter followed by a day of convalescence. It is still unclear who persuaded whom.
But as all genesises go, on day seven the police expelled us from paradise. During one of those lunches they came with flashing lights, being very nice and very polite, but at the same time very insistent about us leaving immediately. So we lifted the anchor and dropped it just outside the harbour at little Venice. Was not soooo bad after all. It got its name from the houses standing directly up to the shore and the very scenic windmills built by Venetians in 16th century to grind the cereals harvested on the island.
As outstanding beautiful and welcoming as it was there is always a time when you meet the pull to another adventure. But we will be back as we collect our kids from here soon. We are looking very froward to seeing them again as it has been a long separation due to the virus.

Hey Yannis,
Hey Costa,
thanks a lot. We are certainly progressing with having a good time. And yes, we will be very careful with wind coming from north. But thanks for the reminder. Have good customers, fine time and a full cash register at our favorite marine supply shop.

Hello my dear old friends!
When I met Tanja yesterday she told me about your new “project”. I’m honestly happy for you two “living your dream”! Last weekend I’ve been sailing with Philipp in Holland and he already told me that you bought a boat. What a coincident.. I really enjoyed looking thru your Blog and I hope to have nice Chat with both of you soon. I don’t use Facebook anymore so send me an email adress or phone number. I’m looking forward speaking to you again, every 10 or 15 years.. ✌🏼
Love
